All three routes have been carefully selected by qualified Ride Leaders with the safety of the riders in mind whilst taking in the very best of what our beautiful country side has to offer in trails, bridleways, tracks, lanes, and most of all the views!

You can enter as a team for a chance to win the coveted Mitchell Cycles Shield presented each year to the team who finishes first as a complete team.
The Castles Bike Ride Routes
The Long
47km /29 miles
This 29-mile route takes you over the best bits of the Marlborough Downs the South East loop to the east of the Marlborough will test your climbing abilities and then when you come down back to Ogbourne St George you'll be descending pretty quickly on a narrow track with a few bumps to catch you. This is the route to choose if you are an experienced mountain biker used to a few technical challenges

The Medium

This 16.4-mile route includes lots of off-road trails and a bit of climb to get you up the back of Barbury Castle. Select this route if you not a very experienced Mountain Biker used to technical tracks and hard climbs

The Short
12km/7.6 m
The family friendly route of 7.6 miles which would also suit those new to off road riding. The off road sections include tarmac cycle path, bridle ways and a grassed field or two
