The ride will leave from Croft Sports Centre at 10:00 am and head towards a picturesque route on and off road to the Ridgeway, which is situated about 4 miles to the south. The ride follows the Ridgeway along ancient byways, tracks and bridle ways in a scenic loop of the Downs but always within a 10mile radius of the Start/Finish within the 28 mile course. Shorter course options of 10 and 19 miles are available. Light refreshments will be provided

Come along and join us on Sunday 5th June 2011 for an exciting day out in the countryside and enjoy mountain biking at its best on the popular Ridgeway route and surrounding areas near Swindon.
All Proceeds from the event will be used locally to fund more medical posts. In the last 3 years, it has raised over £25,000 - a significant contribution. |

The routes will be clearly marked with marshalls positioned at strategic points. You should bring at least a puncture repair kit and pump, and make sure your bike is well prepared. Please wear suitable clothing and if you have a helmet, you are advised to wear it. Please pay attention to the Highway Code and Country Code. |
Important - If you find an area of track in which you do not feel confident to ride over, then in the interests of personal safety, please dismount. |
There are no prizes for the for the first rider home but the Macmillan Trophy donated by Mitchell Cycles will be presented to the largest finishing group of 4 or more riders who complete the 19 or 28 mile course (to qualify groups must register as a team before 2nd June 2011). |
